WWE Raw Live Report December 31, 2007 Taped Dec. 29 in Greensboro, N.C. The show opened with a video package hyping Randy Orton as a champion who rose to the occasion to take out opponents along the path. The voice-over man proclaimed him the greatest Raw superstar of 2007. Right on cue, Randy Orton was in the ring to start the show. The spotlight shined right on him with all the house lights turned down. His music stopped and he was serenaded by boos. Orton said 2007 could be summarized by three letters: R-K-O. He said he went from a legend killer to a one-man dynasty. In 2008, he'll be more ruthless and dominant than ever. Orton said he'll start the new year as champion, and he will walk out of 2008 still the WWE champion. More boos. Suddenly, Jeff Hardy's music interrupted and the place went nuts.
Analysis: UK business falls out of love with Labour
The cost of taper relief had risen 10-fold in four years to more than £6bn, far more than the Treasury had anticipated. The relief had also become an issue in a UK debate over the growth of private equity, whose executives paid capital gains tax on their profit share. This meant their effective tax rate was often lower than their cleaner's, as one executive put it. Mr Darling proposed a single rate of 18 per cent on all assets, whether businesses built up by entrepreneurs, the second homes of well-off individuals, the property empires of the new generation of buy-to-let investors or the profit shares of private equity bosses. As a result, entrepreneurs who had risked everything to build up a business would see the tax rate almost double when they sold it. The tax rate would fall by more than half for many people who had made less risky investments such as housing.

Soon, this is what you'll hear when checking out of your local Whole Foods Market. On Earth Day, Whole Foods will be eliminating the use of plastic bags at the check out lines of their grocery store. Why? Well, each year 380 billion plastic bags are consumed in U.S alone. Plastic bags don't biodegrade. Instead, they end up in the mouths of sea turtles, whales, and other marine animals. Whole Foods wants to put an end to this. It's the BPP's Ramble.
